Kanata Commons

Kanata Commons

Retail

Located in the west end of the city of Ottawa with easy access to Highway 417, the Kanata Commons Shopping Centre Development is another collaborative project delivered by Doran and the Taggart Group. This customer-focused retail development includes one anchor building with two small outlet buildings containing a total of 75,000ft2, with more than 200 parking spaces.

The construction of the buildings consists of structural steel framing with modified bitumen roofing. The exterior walls are structural steel studs with a combination of EIFS, precast concrete panels, glazing, and masonry skin. The extensive relief in the perimeter walls creates depth and character in each building. Throughout the entire design and build process, this development was created with customer ease in mind. From the aesthetically pleasing storefronts to ample parking, Kanata Commons provides customers with an excellent user experience.
